Engine blocks completed, need to do a bit of tidy up on the intake hoses but it's getting some established form now.

Finished the intake manifold. It's amazing what a bit of weathering powder makes to the realism. After fresh spraying it looked like something out of a Christmas cracker.

The powder toned it down a bit.

Bit of silver dry brushing on the gearbox to make it more realistic looking. Some more bearing detail and rivets. Some touch up work on the intake tubes, did some heat colouration on the exhaust manifolds, added a black dry brush to tone down the silvery look. Need to do the turbos next. About to start on the suspension assembly.

If you look at the picture below you can clearly see that the inside of the body just looks a matt grey. I'm sure if you went right up close you'd see the carbon weave but I'd have to be looking right on top of it to see it.
I think the two Japanese fellas in the white and yellow shirts are looking to see if they can spot the Carbon weave ??? They look none to sure about it.

Havent been able to get much time on the model as work has been really busy. But i have been snatching 5 mins here and there; not being able to do much airbrushing i thought id make some plug leads. I used some styrene rod and then did a black dust over the leads to make them look more realistic. Its not perfect but sometimes its the imperfections that make it look more real.

Bit more cockpit work. Carbon finish on the dash and metalic finish on the air circulation system. Also did the wheel carriers. My airbrush blew an o ring shortly after that so i got to order some spares from expo.
