    Revell Escort Rally.

Won this on ebay in February & finally made a start. Getting a shine on the paintwork will be a challenge, as all my other finishes have been Matt Camo finishes LOL.

Having owned a couple of MK2's, I'm looking forward to seeing this built.

did that a few years back.............main prob i found was that the wheels go into the arches a bit too much, look a little lost and of course the slick tyres

look forward to seeing how you progress with it

this is another kit i wish revell would reissue

Hi Paul, yes the Slick tyres are not right for a rally car should be the chunky tyres on this.

Belkits are bringing out Timo Makinens RAC RALLY Winning Mk.1 RS1600 later this year .

I was watching this (or one like it!) on eBay, so it should be interesting to build it vicariously

Shiny rally car John, surely not!

Having won a couple of trophies on Road Rallies & walking miles into a forest in the dead of night to watch rally cars back in the 70s I know there is only 2 kinds of rally cars...

Shiny or covered in so much Mud you cannot tell the colour of the car, or read the sponsors decals... .

Ive not decided yet which way to go LOL.

Thanks Ian, but for health reasons I don't use Spray Cans & so only airbrush with Acrylic paints..

The extinguishers look better in the pics, than looking at them in real life Marc LOL.
