I,ve realised I've forgot to put the carbon build up on the top of the piston so thats to be added next.

Haven't seen one of these for many years.Points and a condenser!.I bet the younger forum members don't know what those are for!.I look forward to seeing this built.

ive got this one to do sometime too


when i used to work for a certain large car manufacturer i was on a training course.....instructer took us into the engine plant.....in the reception was a lovely cut away inline 4.....you turned the flywheel and you could see pistons rising, valves going up and down.......the instructer didnt know who an engine worked so for the next ten minutes i had to explain it all!!.....he had never even heard of 'suck, squeeze, bang, blow'!!

you cant get the staff these days Paul. just on a side note 1 of my work colleges had a problem with a condenser going down -- he used a raw potato I kid you not and it worked as a temp measure lol

I saw a similar story on Yahoo, were the RAC / AA chap done the same thing. The owner said the Land rover had never run better !

Well I did once use a clothes peg to cure a rich running Passat.

This looks really interesting. I must try an engine some time. I've been off modelling for a few weeks while I adjust to my new Windows 7 machine, having ditched my iMac after 4 years of continuous glitches. I am surprised at how different Windows 7 is compared to a Mac and that is taking time to learn. I am finding that Windows Explorer makes it easy to find files..

i cannot even turn one on lol,


i found it a little strange after using XP for years but its very easy for what i do,


wish i could use alot more in the think like paint and so on
