Just checked the chassis and there are a few small bits that need going over again but it seems to look okay.

I thought I'd go for a gloss black as the chrome will really pop against the body. Black and chrome does look awesome. But I may go down a dark silver metalic combo I honestly don't know

Thanks Scott. I thought I'd paint the front sub frame gloss black to give it a more defined look, but also a recently restored rebuilt look like it was overhauled by a top coachwork builder. Going to do the rear suspension strut gloss black also.

I'm then going to do a metalcoat on the suspension arms and pick out details with bolts using silver or gold.

Work has been really busy so haven't had much time on the car. Made a start on the rear did. I used my reference pic to copy it.

THe metalcoat hasn't been polished yet but will do once complete.

what metal cote you using? I'm starting to use Alclads but I'm interested in what is achievable with various products. Looking good BTW. Did you use Tamiya rubber black on the boots?

For the rubber boots I used humbrol flat back with a small amount of semi gloss clear coat mixed in.

The metalcoats are numbered it's the only two humbrol do. I think the darker one replicates polished steel and the light one polished alloy. But I'm not sure, I haven't polished it yet either.

Rear axle is complete now. I'm back onto the chassis as the airbrush didn't cover the areas properly and it's patchy. So I'm going over with a paint brush and smoothing with fine paper after

There is a bit of touch up work required on the shaft boss though
