Small update. 3 light coats of clear currently drying out before flattening.

You can see the orange peel forming as the 1k clear dries out, I'm trying out my infrared lamp to help this process along.

      Very smooth & shiny Dougie!

That's why I don't build cars, even though I'm a confirmed petrolhead - I can never get a finish like that.

Mate if I can do it anyone can! It is possible with and airbrush but... a mini spray gun really really helps. You can keep a full wet coat on the whole body as you spray with minimal over spray.

I guess if I used 2k clear I'd get less orange peel but I'm not risking my health more than I do with these paints for a model car!

        Cheers for the compliment

Quick update from this morning. Have sanded and polished the body. Not shown are the panel lines I have washed. They will require a tiny tidy up...

Cheers guys. It looks pretty good. A couple of minor blemished but so far my best body to date. Just need to make the window surrounds semi gloss black and she is done well the body is...

                        Per Ardua

We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no ones been

It's zero paints, bleu olympe, I think there is a picture right at the start of the thread. The metallic fleck is stunning

Attached are pics of the lenses I'm making for the fogs. Literally just hollowed out the flat lights, painted white then yellow and filled with microscale krystal klear. You can see its starting to dry. Wished I'd sprayed the lights gold.

Good work dougie. Love the fleck on the paintwork, wonderful finish.

Zero paints really are the top choice aren't they? I wont use anything else now for car bodies.
