    Revell Monogram '71 Plymouth GTX

Hi all, this is my Revell Monogram '71 Plymouth GTX.

I have decided to do it as a lightly customised model paint wise.

Pictures were taken after sanding the paintwork, it will be highly polished just like a proper American custom paint job. It will also have a set of working LED lights when completed.

Well the LED's themselves are recycled from broken laptop screens. We replace plenty of screens at work so I have a very plentiful and free supply. They are surface mount and come on a strip the length of the screen. I can cut the strip either side of an individual LED and use the solder pads of the strips to solder to.

So, if anyone wants any free surface mount LED's then let me know. So far I have only stripped the LED's from 2 screens and that has yielded around 50.

Might also pull some cables out of our supply of dead (mostly HP) laptops for the wiring.

As many as you need are yours for the cost of postage. I also have an abundance (40 of) miniature switches, you are welcome to some of those too if you want.

Thanks Builder. The door cards were an absolute disaster so I have started painting them again. So far they are looking much better but there is still a lot more work to do on them before they are worthy of some more pics.
