Nicely done bonnet extension Jim :thumb2:

Looks like there may be a sink mark in the middle of the GB plate bracket

            Hi all
Thanks for your kind words :thumb2:
Simon it is a sink mark :worried: More noticeable in the photo that in reality. I should deal with it but I think it will be left. Didn't even notice it until I saw the photo.
The bonnet fits. Just dry fitted although the two top sections are tacked together and the centre hinge is fixed. The ends still need sorting.

Gentlemen you are too kind - but I do appreciate your comments.

Right folks - drum role and applause from the cheap seats - 'tis done :smiling5: Bonnet still to add but it is painted. Just needs a long time to dry being enamel.

The kit is best described as "an enjoyable challenge" but don't expect too much. I will stuck some more piccies on the Completed Civilian Vehicle forum in a day or so.
Thanks for all your support - it really did keep me going.

Looking forward to seeing it with doors and bonnet Jim! Did I mention there was an SS1 saloon at the Chateau Impney hillclimb the other week?

                          Mechanically very similar I think.

Pete - it sounds daft I know but I made and painted the doors a while ago and put them 'somewhere safe' and when taking the photos I didn't even notice they weren't there!
Pete - that is a beautiful car. Many years ago when I lived in Yorkshire there was a Jaguar Owners Club drive out and I went to watch the cars pass. There was an SS100 among the cars. Only time I have seen one. If I win the lottery then who knows ..... ?
We have doors. I am giving the bonnet another day for the paint to fully harden. I have been caught out once before with Humbrol Enamel gloss - the dreaded finger print.
