Tamiya 1/24 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII WRC

    Hi guys,

I just finished up a 80's rally car and decided I wanted to improve my skills, so bought this as it was cheap at less than £20.

So far I've just cleaned up the running gear, chassis and body shell, and got it in primer.

          Nice start Bob.

Out of interest did the booth lights come with it or are they all add on?

I have to say I find them really useful. I have plenty of light at my bench, but the extra in the booth helps to see where the paint has gone (for example when I was painting white primer on the white chassis) and also when doing wet coats of clear.

Thanks Bob. I have done bright Lights doing through the cover and an LED strip across the top but it's still not perfect.

                  Thanks again.

                      Morning guys.

Spent a couple of hours at the bench last night and only managed to put the roll cage together. So many mould lines to clean up.

                          Morning guys,

Small update, I've spent the last week painting the body, chassis and running gear. This took a little while and involved some serious masking. I can now move on to the internal parts.

                            Hi Bob
A lot of work done already. Looking great. The Tamiya lacquer looks to be good stuff.

                              Cheers Jim.

Yes, I'm really liking their LP range, it sprays well, dries quickly and is very durable. Only downside is the lacquer thinner smell.
