This came out great. Worked in a Euro-shop for awhile restoring Fiats, Jags & Panteras. I was allowed to drive a Testarossa once I'd shown I could well handle the Panteras. Mid-engine cars definitely handle differently. The paddle shifter was my first, very cool.

I once designed mounts, so we could re-engine a Lamborghini!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly, it was a Lamborghini tractor - the closest I ever got to the supercar was the name badge!
I had just designed a new 4-cylinder crankcase, and the first prototypes were being cast by a specialist company in the MIdlands - I was very pleased & I went up to see the results & pick up a sample..................
rather deflated, as my humble 4-potter case was on a pallet, surrounded by Bugatti Veyron blocks!!!!!!!!!
Rather like comparing a paint-by-numbers to a Rembrandt!

Added some more decals, this is a combo of indycal decals and the kit ones (the indycal decals DO NOT FIT THIS KIT regardless of what you read elsewhere ) some of them do but you couldn't use them for the whole kit( I'm not sighting indycals they were designed for the tamiya kit not this one) also the indycal are matt so need a gloss coat over them the kit ones are gloss. In there defence indycal decals go on well and settle well but I think if your spending half the cost of the kit for them in the future I will go with the kit ones and resort to them as a last resort as even then they may not get you out of trouble as they only seem to cater for tamiya kits.

I made this one very early in my career, to nothing like the standard here. It is a real beauty when complete, as befits one of the most beautiful machines ever made.

              Loving your work.

Beginning to feel I need to get another of these to do it justice. Mine was a shocking amateur attempt, by the time the wheels went on it was so off line the rear axel was vertical.

Hi all well the body panels are screwed down (what a royal PITA) that took 2 hrs and a lot of inventive words of rather nasty connotations, still it's done now.

I met him in Salzburg in 2005. I say met, I stammered "Guten abend Herr Lauda" (he was my hero as a kid), he looked at me, grunted something, and went on his way. The legend survived.

Nearing completion tbh this kit is not that great (due mostly to Revell using the cheapest production methods and the cheapest materials) (I know that to be true as italari's productions of ex protar kit are in another galaxy to this kit) that said it looks OK and I'm just glad I didn't pay the price I've seen some of this kit go for on Ebay if I'd paid 350 quid for it I would be very upset.
