    Heller Citroen 1/8 Build 1 - B

We continue rolling with the engine...

The water pump was presented & fitted to the block temporarily before painting...

Note the belt tensioning bolt & nut, fully functional...

The gearbox was prepared, drilled & tapped to be fully assembled with scale bolts...

It was also bolted to the block and retouched for fit before painting.

The valve cover was prepared and the oil filler lid was made to open & close via scale bolts. The block got a styrene reinforcement on it's top, drilled & tapped to receive the valve cover...

At this stage, an engine stand was made, based on the real engine stand used at the Citroen factory (Here's when the data becomes mighty useful...) Later, the engine stand was provided with a mirror at it's base, so you can see the engine's lower parts....:grinball2:

A full dissasemble was made of the parts so far, and were airbrushed with the original Citroen green engine colour. This was hard to achieve because of some strange pigments...after many tests, I used Cub yellow & permanent blue.

Automotive acrylic paint was used over 2 coats of automotive primer...

I used 2 thick coats followed by a well diluted "wet" one to achieve a semigloss finish...

    Till the next one...

    Thanks

    Mario

    Mario,

I have some questions for you.

Do you have a drwaing of the engine stand? Is it possible for me to achieve it?

Where did you get al these small bolts? What size are they.

I'm looking for info, as I have 2 of these kits in my possesion, but are a little afraid to mess them up.

    Thanks anyway.

      Engine Stand

I'd love to see the plans for that engine stand also. It would be nice to have when I start my Heller Citroen
