If the kit was made in 1959 it means that at the time the kit was released an original car would be younger than the kit is today - time flies!

Yes - by about 25 years...!
It's amazing to think that someone was building this kit 60 years ago....

Dry brushed silver onto the grille over the black. Think I'll leave it like that.
Also tried to make the starting crank look like it's chrome plated with a wooden hand grip...

Grille looks fine - success I would say.

Glued the front suspension units in - a very precarious fit...!
All other parts are just resting in place.
              Started to paint the wheels...

This is interesting, and old kit produced before we were even out of our prams... well some of us...
I remember these kits when we used to have local model shops, and I even bought one a few years ago to turn it into a Ford WW1 ambulance, opened the box and saw the small amount of parts and put the lid back on. I am sure it is somewhere in the attic.

The chassis here is painted with Tamiya TS 90 Brown and the patch is Tamiya X 9 Brown.
                  Clearly dissimilar...
Does anyone know which Tamiya pot paint matches the spray...? I need it for some small touch-ups...

Removing flash, seams and pot holes from the jockey is becoming time consuming...
