    1958 Plymouth Fury "Christine"

Here's the Plymouth Belvedere/Fury. Built to look like the one in the movie "Christine".

The movie car was actually a Belvedere and not a Fury. A Fury has Gold Chrome on the sides and front grille instead of Silver Chrome.

    Model Kit: AMT/Ertl Kit # 38396

    Scale: 1:25

Well that would explain why i've never had any joy when I searched for Plymouth Fury models to model on Christine, I only ever found kits based on the later squarer models, it's one i've wanted to do since I returned to modelling.

        Nice job on yours BTW.

Very nice, I fancy one for a diorama with the battered remains of a D9 in the background. Someone has modelled the famous buried one which was recently dug up.

          Frame.

Wow! Beautiful detail.......That's what I'm talkin' about! Few questions for ya........What did you use to mask your paint job? Have you ever used a liquid mask? Did you use "bare metal foil" for the trim? Do you use an airbrush and if you do, which do you prefer enamels or acrylics?

Hi Jay - Thank you very much. For your Questions...

I used Tamiya's Masking Tape. I never used liquid mask... yet.

Yes - I used Bare Metal Foil for all the trim on this kit.

No - I usually don't use an Airbrush for model cars. Only on Military vehicles, tanks, planes.. etc.

I used testor's Dark Red Spray Can on this kit.
