    ive relented lol

    been out and picked up a can of Inca Yellow.............its a Rover colour that was used on the likes of MGB, TR7, Mini, Triumph Spitfire.....................................and the Austin Maxi!

      coat of yellow............still not happy but its going to have to do

        Hi Paul not looking to bad.

        I think maybe white primer would have bought out the yellow a bit better, but thats just me.

          so i scratched a dizzy and wired up the engine. used fine jewellry wire rather than coated wire as its finer. engine in the frame and rear axle added

              so when i came to fit the inner tub i suddenly realised that the front of it becomes the firewall and some of the inner sides are visible too, which was a bit of a bugger since i hadnt painted them! lol....if i had the time i would have made a false firewall further forward.......didnt want to try spraying and make a mess of it all, didnt want to brush paint cos that wouldnt have been neat, then i remembered this roll of shiny adhesive tape i had got in a Pound Shop ages ago,........stuck some to the front of the tub and some on the inner sides and burnished it all down with a cotton bud, not sure how much will be visible in the end but it was quick and easy
