Airfix 1/32 Ford Fiesta RS WRC

Just a bit of light relief on a rainy Bank Holiday!

A very easy build, went together in about 3 hours although the sprue gates are huge! Luckily the plastic is quite soft so cleaning up is a breeze.

I plan to do a mini dio, pretty much the same as the box art. However that means finding a pair of figures, which is proving harder than expected!

    Thanks for looking

Nice start Patrick , I know tamiya do figures for bikes not sure on the scale though I suppose if it comes to it you could chop a couple up and put them in if the scale is 1/32

I like this because I have a fiester

Brief update on this for Alan it seems!

Paint & gloss coat are on - the kit instructions say to do it black, but that's boring!

So I've mixed up something that hopefully looks like Ford Imperial Blue, although it's shading towards violet somewhat.

Seems a shame to dirty it up, but it is a rally car!

      Cheers

That's a nice colour on the pics it looks closer to the Subaru blue but it's more than likely not.

Patrick you can't have a rally car that looks like it's just come off a factory line

        Get stuck in

Don't worry Ron, I'm not fussed! If I only did this for the appreciation of others I'd be missing the point of our rewarding (sometimes frustrating) hobby!

A bit more progress on Alan's car!

Decals on & boy, were they P. I. G. 's to do! Lost one that goes on the bonnet - as soon as the Microsol hit it, it disintegrated

A gloss coat to seal & a pinwash with a

                  very dark blue.

The car will be placed on a base showing it leaping over a bump - I've altered the suspension to have the wheels dropped, apart from the rear one that's compressed under load.
