Hi Paul, glad you think so....still don’t like the big screws, but can’t find my 12 - 14 - 16 BA bolts anywhere so can’t replace them.....you’ve built this I believe, if so, where did you put the plug leads? There is no coil that I can see and they just flap around otherwise...
Hi Kirsten, hope you find it interesting as I go forward....
Cheers both

Hi Ian
Thanks for the support...
Hi Paul
If you could look I would be grateful...could be inexperience on my part, I cut the tubing according to the instruction, so all four are too short to do as you suggest..also, wouldn’t that interfere with the fit of the petrol tank?
Cheers

Hi Tim,
Doing a bit of Googling it seems there are two cylindrical coil packs - one serves 1&3 the other 2&4
Looking at the above diagram the coil packs are items 1&2 and they look to be suspended off the main top frame rail so that they hang below the tank in the space between tank and cylinder heads/engine on bracket 3&4Attached FilesComment

Hi Simon
Thanks for that, really helpful, though I’m not going to model the whole wiring loom this time out.....might try to fake the coils though....
Hi Paul
Thanks mate, same instructions I have. I just hadn’t read that far through in detail, just glanced through to get the assembly order down....the answer was with me all the time LOL....
Cheers guys

Hi Simon
Thanks for this, good to see them in the flesh as it were....
Plug leads are pretty short aren’t they :thumb2:Comment

Agreed, I may mock them up just to make sure they don’t screw up the tank fit.....to be fair to Tamiya though, this kit is about thirty years old....and is cheap as chips...Comment
