1/8 Scale my first time ever

Well ordered a new model today, along with my brother's late birthday present. Which I hope he'll like, as soon as it gets here. I'll post a picture, off my model which is 1/8 scale. Which will be my first large model, but not my brothers otherwise he'll know what it is, and it will blow the surprise.

I have heard that these are a nice and easy kit, not too complicated so should be a nice introduction in the larger size. Good choice too, looks superb. Don't let Ken see it...he will be after it :smiling5:

Not, yet as I am looking for air brush paint plus the mixing ratio jar for the air brush. Plus the colours, as i am not going with the colour on the instruction for the frame, as it says dark gray i have some thing else in mind for frame colour.

Oooh you taking a leaf out of my book Jim, instructions are meant as a guide only, best just ignore them. So what you thinking, pink frame, purple tank.

No airbrush grey for primer. Then airbrush black gloss, with pearl in it. For tank if I can find pearl black gloss for airbrush. Frame as long as it is not pink. Not sure what colour, any sugestion any one.

frame going different colour when tank is finished. Advice please will paint TAMIYA ( TS-40 metallic black react badly to TS-6 matt black. Or will TS-29 semi gloss black react badly to TS-6 matt black, same with TS-49 bright red react badly to TS-6 matt black & ts-85 bright mica red react badly to TS-6 matt black ) or will they be ok with each other.

Jim none of the Tamiya paints will react badly with other Tamiya paint you just need to worry about mixing brand types never spray cellulose over enamel whatever brand they are they will react badly and you will have a very big mess to deal with. You can however spray enamel over cellulose.

I'm off to hunt for those mysterious builds and houses, in the garage. Don't panic i'll be back. If i'm not back at some point, send rescue party I might be stuck or lost.
