    Morning chaps.

Back ends on. I lost a little bit of the decal on the exhaust when fitting the mounting clamp, not sure yet if I'm going to leave it or attempt a repair. The exhaust is only attached by one screw so I can remove it later if needed.

            Cheers Steve.

I've been working on the paintwork for the last few days. First up was the body panels, painted, glossed, decalled and glossed again. The kit comes with a decal for the red accent on the front fairing, but I decided to mask and paint it instead.

Then I cleaned up all the remaining parts and got them painted.

So with everything now painted it's just a case of getting it all put together.

Cheers Steve, It's something I've been practicing with the last few builds and is my best high gloss result so far.

I wish I could get that kind of finish on my models, do you use some kind of polish on the gloss coat to finish it off to that high standard?

                  Andy.

The pics above are before polishing, but yes it will have a polish at the end of the build.

Then the problems started when I tried to fit the cowl.

I can only assume that the internal headlight piece that connects to the frame isn't correctly located within the cowl. There's nothing else for it, it's going to have to come apart. I've ordered some debonder from Amazon, not sure what effect this will have on the paint so might end up having to strip it all and start again.

That’s a real blow Bob. Sure you’ll sort it out though, because this is looking good enough to ride....
