I've spent the last few evenings getting on with something that I had been putting off, namely the carbon decals. I was quite worried about getting these down well, particularly around the complicated shape of the cowling but I'm actually very pleased with the result.
I'm going to get the other various decals down next then apply the gloss.
Just caught up with your build Bob and wow, this is seriously top drawer modelling. The detail is superb and your paint job really shows it to great effect.
I'm not a biker myself, so other than knowing they have two wheels and an engine, I don't know one from the other but nevertheless I can see how well you've done in this. The carbon decals look very effective, so well done on getting them down without any problems.
I'm no biker myself, saw too many of my friends have bad accidents (including one fatality ) so never wanted to get on one. However I do appreciate the aesthetics of race and sports bikes so enjoy building the models.

Sorry to hear about your friend. My brother rides but has only had one very minor scrape....he was a paramedic for many years and so he has a number of stories similar to yours.
