Hi sunday again, where are the weeks going… any way build up date in between cutting the grass washing the cars walking the dog baby sitting oh and cutting the hedge the bottom of one side anyway waiting for a new pole cutter to do the tops …
so i managed to get the swinging arm, shocks and front end together this week and assembled today she is starting to take shape

the pipes please…. ? these should be chrome so i stripped them back cleaned them down then primed grey, primed black left over night and chrome paint over the top? All alclad to go with the chrome2 paint but i cant get the mirror finish is it me the paint or the process any help would be nice iv watched the utube videos but not much info and they seen to be doing what I'm doing.
that said they still look better than the kit ones (I think)

That looks excellent Simon. Really smart.
As to the Alclad chrome, I found it best over a gloss black base, sprayed on really sparingly. There is a sweet spot for coverage. Once you have too much paint on the shine is lost. Mind you, there is also chrome finish bare metal foil. Great for chrome trim, but I’ve not used it on something that big.

Looking great Simon. Really fine build. Surprising how flat the top of the frame appears.
