    Next! Honda VRF750r

I bought this and the katana at the same time.

Looks a little more complicated and will take a bit more thinking when it comes to painting I think. And as for the decals lol

Made a slow start. Local shop tomorrow to stock up on the paints needed.

    Quick question.

Little bit puzzled by this. Is it telling me to use ts17 or x11?! Ones a spray can the others a paint. Little bit confused. Click image for larger version

Use either, depending whether you want to use a rattle can (TS17) or airbrush/hairy brush (X11).

Parts primed hopefully get to paint them tomorrow afternoon.

Tried to plan and put as much together prior to painting

Exhaust will be a bit tricky as it’s one piece however some fiddly parts that are different colours. Click image for larger version

Yes has clear fairings although it comes with decals too so if the engine isn’t looking to good I could cover it

Frame painted just need to add some details. Engine drying and should be in a position to start to put that together tomorrow or the day after.

Just picked up this and I’m struggling, I’ve tried to add some to the frame.

I’m letting it dry and then trying to wipe up the excessClick image for larger version

ID:	1187499 however it’s not budging. Just had to repaint the frame due to the mess.

I’ve tried Tamiya thinners with no joy. Is it due to it being enamel based?

                    Thanks

Tamiya x-20a thinners are for their acrylics, so probably won't shift this.
AK say use their odourless thinners, which is just turpentine so could probably be gotten cheaper. Especially if only for clean up.

Did you gloss coat first? Seems an important step.
And then you let the panel liner flow along the details.

I didn’t glass coat first which after doing some research could be the issue!

Even clay washes have a time getting off matt paints, and they're water soluble.

I’ve just picked up some x22 clear so my plan is to use that first prior to using the wash. I’ve also got some enamel thinner to help clear things up.

                            Hoping that does the job!

Some black wash applied. Think I should have gone for grey. Happy ish with it.

Slow going with this one due to other commitments.
