Papa695s Italeri 1/24 Ford Transit Van.

I’ve got a disabled son who loves Postman Pat so we’re going to convert this into a post office van. It will be a slow build one Click image for larger version

    Will deffo follow this one

Always fancied turning one into a tow vehicle with something like a mk 2 escort rally car on a trailer

We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no ones been

Not a driver myself, but do love a transit. They remind me of Halcyon days watching ( Get yer trousers on, your nicked my son) The Sweeny loved it?. Will keep an eye on this.

I’d like to see what you do with this as I’ve had the urge to do one too, Reminds me of hellish journeys up the A9 (in the early 80’s) in the back of my grandads van sitting on tatty old sofa cushions and the smell of asphalt.

I read once that Transits were the preferred getaway vans for bank robbers because they could outrun police cars.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

Andrew has helped with the cutting off of the parts and gluing them on. I will tidy up the painting later.

Great looking paint job, Andrew. Nice to see a Transit that isn't white.

Sorry it’s been a while, but Andrew has moved on a little with this one. At first I was going to build it for him, but he wanted to build it himself, so with my help , ( holding things for him to paint and glue ) this is how far he’s got.
