Often wanted to do another truck (last one I did was a wrecker pulling a smashed up campervan) but that was at least 30 yrs ago, will be watching this one.

Okies then slow start with this one, instructions say paint engine all yellow, I don't think so somehow.

Still long way to go but it's a start.

        Till next time have fun.

Nothing iff it were just the block, but the whole engine, filter's pip's & all, yuck.

I like the American haulers, I fancy getting the revell marmon with the stars and stripes finish but I've never built a truck (driven some!). I'll keep a beady eye on this one!

Making a start on the paintwork, First the punch hole's are filled & sanded then the whole thing is rubbed down with P800 wet & dry to give a key for the paint to grip to, then the whole thing is washed down with warm soppy water & dried off.

I first spray the inside of the bonnet, if i sprayed the outside first i stand a good chance of messing up my work when i spray the inside.

Black is not the final color it's going to be IRIDESCENT PINK/GOLD i hope.

Not happy with the finish one or two imperfections so rubbed it down again with P1200 & resprayed again, much better this time, what u think

                    .

Wont buff it up till tomorrow when paint has completely gone off then on with the top coat.

                    Have fun.
