How did you do the wood grain effect on the dash?? Really liking that!

Are you not cutting out the grill slots entirely and just mimicing the grill on the inside? o_O

The wood grain was easy, paint with very thin paint and an old brush. Let it dry and repeat with a lighter brown with the same old brush, that way you gets the grain hehehe. As for the grill, i just went the easy route and copyed the outside. But thinking about it now, it would be better if i cut it out that way i'm not adding things to catch the inside (off for a re-think ).

Well Gavin, there is no turning back now matey lol.

I did have a re-think on the grill, so i made up the radiator and fitted the bonnet (oops!). Glad Snowman said something about it, it could be it paint THEN found the problem . But as you can see i've cut it all out so now i can make a new grill up and still fit it to the truck.

Hi all, not much work done (or should that be, a lot of work but it doesn't show lol). The grill is now custom and i found some mesh, so now you'll be able to see the radiator for that 3D look, WOOP!!

Next up: Think i'll tackle the interior. That'll be a bulkhead i need to make and seeing if i can put the bed in the right place (why do i do this to myself , oh, because it's fun )

Well, after a good long look on the interweb i think i've found the colour. The photo is of the low roof but, boy do i like it. And the best part, i have the white stripe.

Hi all, i done a little more on the Kenny. Not done anything on the interior as i have a few idea's rolling around, don't think i'll go overboard because you'll not see much in there. So, where am i at. The chassis, added some plates for that custom look and is nearly ready for paint. And i'm thinking it'll be the same colour as the body. The rad has been played with too, it had the fan molded in and had a big open void behind it. I cut the fan out so that can now go onto the engine, the rad got a disc glued in to make it look thicker, and i still had some mesh left over from the grill so that was use for the rad fins.

Just had to make the wheels up hehehe, they got a black wash to take the brightness away. Still alot of work to do but i'm happy how it's going. If this build goes slow, dont panic, i'm waiting for stuff (like paint) to turn up or i've had another idea for the "custom look". Talking of paint, seen a very nice blue and it's a candy blue, so if i get the paint then the truck will have silver stripes and not white.
