Looking great Andy when will I see a farm tractor?

Thanks Lee but don't hold your breath as I have not even bought the tractor yet. The pickup, tractor, a container and many other parts needed for the project some of which need to be bought from very far away, and quite a lot will need to be scratch built which will be another skill I need to learn.

So, it's back to work on this model and having fitted the windscreen time to get on.

Bit of a rubbish picture with too much reflection but it will have to do now. Because I chose to differ from the instructions I had to fit the screen from inside the completed cab shell, now to see if this fits inside.

And it did, however, things got a bit more fiddly as the door pockets now have to be fitted through the side windows. They needed a wee bit of modification, but they do fit.

Now I can get on with the large decals on the cab and start putting the whole thing together.

At last I have managed a bit more, cab tested for fit, not fixed in place as I still have stuff to do so need to handle it.

Decals on left hand side, more to do on the front and right side, no side windows or mirrors yet as they will be the last to do without fear of damage.

I have now done the other decals but waiting for them to set, hopefully I will get a bit more done tomorrow night as I am going out on the bike tomorrow before the forecast storm arrives at the weekend.

At long last I would call this done.


Been an interesting return to plastic model kits and I have learned a thing or two, in fact, more that a thing or two.

It is certainly not the best model to be shown on here, but onwards and upwards.

My thanks go to all on here who have freely given help/advice to an old returning modeller, but do not despair as I am moving on to a bit of cheap armour to try and improve some of my skills so no doubt more questions will be asked, some of them quite silly I would imagine. Now all I need is a display case, anyone got plans or ideas on how to make one as bought ones are more expansive than the kit.

Came out really good, a+, as for bases I've made my own from MDF, got these from a art outlet but I'm sure you can get them anyway. Javis do good sheets which you can stick onto the board, it looks like tarmac.
