Looking good Andy. Looks like the tracks fit pretty well despite the tricky build.

Yes, the tracks will take a bit of time to do and joining that last one may be interesting, but I may have that in hand.

Cut off the locating pins on the last one, so it just slips between the one at the other end, then glue the two together?

That would work although I did think of drilling through the link ends and joining them with a bit of wire, we shall see as fitting the tracks is a long way off.

Not sure if I should have posted this in the weathering section but here is my first serious attempt at doing a bit of hairspray chipping.
Front belly plate under the engine.

Track suspension spring, ignore the brown bit as this gets stuck to the bottom of the engine and is not seen.

Still not too sure about the colour, I am thinking it is perhaps a shade dark but I will have a think about it.
All opinions and criticisms wellcome.

Andy.

Andy,
That looks good and the washes later will help blend it all together and tone down the starkness.

A bit more done tonight with the chipping, looks OK to me as I did not want to overdo it. When the tracks are on and I introduce some earth pigments or some equivalent muck they should be fine. A lot of work to do on the engine with paint and washes but it will get there, says he hopefully.

I did a little bit of painting tonight and I thought while waiting for it to dry I will just build the dozer blade.

Well, that took longer than I thought, who would think there was 26 parts in that? If anyone wants a quick build kit then this is not it, loads of small parts, time spent making small adjustements here and there and time wasted looking through sprues for parts, but I love it as it is a great subject in my opinion.

Andy.

Great chipping work Andy, like you say with some dirt will look the bees knees.
