    Revell 1\24 Routemaster bus

This is my third go at this monster and as I have done this one before I know what I am letting myself in for.
I chosen the original Leyland engine I have already finished it here it is before the necessary weathering.Click image for larger version

      Hi Peter
I've seen this kit a few times when browsing the web or at shows but never seen it built. I look forward to seeing how you get on.
      Jim

The engine alone is worthy of being on show, a pity if it gets covered up Peter.

There is a opening bonnet and also it's supplied with a different engine which I will be building to display along side.

Great work Peter. I was travelling on these things when they were still in service on quite a few London routes. Reminds me of a time when I was sitting on the top deck of the 159 in Brixton when the engine caught fire. Acrid fumes and smoke filled the bus and we all had to abandon ship in double quick time. They were always breaking down towards the end of their lives.
