That horrible sinking feeling when you move on to the next build stage and suddenly realise the two axles you fitted are on the wrong way round
Took a deep breath and surgically removed the whole unit, reassembled correctly and back on

Been there, done that with putting something on the wrong way, as long as you notice before being too deep into the build. TET is your friend, just flood the joints and it makes removal less of a chore.

Finally an update on this pig of a kit, I just keep dipping in until I've had enough then move on for a while. Here's the chassis and engine which is about 90% completed now and had a coat of undercoat.

It might be a bit of a pig of a kit Mick, but you’re making a silk purse out of that sows ear…

Looking good, I have built an Italeri truck kit and I feel your pain.

                      Hi Mick
As the others have said it's good you're sticking with it and 'taming the beast'.

                        Hello Mick,
Spent about 30 years living in a truck, with short spells at home, started with Ford and ended with a Volvo FH16. And reading through the comments it appears other members have had the pleasure.....
Is this a left or right hand drive? If a right hand drive then stick a fridge trailer on the back, if right hand then a European tilt trailer and Turkish numberplates, for some odd reason they loved these Mercs. Big baggy tilt canvas that seemed to fill with air as they went along, and then you had the worry of bits falling off, and in the rain, no mudguards just bare wheels, like driving through a car wash when you passed them.
                        Mike.

                          Hi Mike
This ones a left hooker, I'd not even considered a trailer due to size but I'll certainly give it some thought now thanks

A little more progress on my nemesis. The roof is only sat in place as I need to do some masking up ready for more undercoat and then top coat. A trailer is also winging its way to me.

Looking forward to seeing the artwork on the cab Mick. Maybe a school of dolphins swimming through the ocean surf or maybe an Indian on horse back galloping at full speed alongside a herd of bison with bow and arrow in hand. I'm sure it will be of no trouble to a man with your artistic talent :thumb2:

Mick, don't listen to Steve, he's become deluded since Matron gave him his last Jab. Next he'll insist on 3 part camo or spare fuel can strapped to the roof. :smiling3:
