The other day while in the storage shed I ran across my old Kibri Kits. These Model kits are so great and detailed I’ve used them a lot when I used to build Custom Building for Customers. When I quit Custom Building 12 years I was left with quite of few of these kits. So I’m going to try to build one these as a Custom Livestock Truck with a added Livestock bed from another source. This is Kit# 10580 I’ll be using just the MAN Truck out of this kit. This is what I got done today.

WOW, I haven't seen an IHC (international Hobby Corporation) kit in 25 or more years! The last IHC catalog I received was in 1989. As to the Kibri kit, they are excellent. I have built their Kaelble Z6 W2A 130 heavy tow tractor and it is a Fabulous model.......got two more in the stash for future use. I'm very impressed that you are doing an '87 scale model Lee. Hope you manage it OK. It looks like you are off to a good start.....if you want to have some fun go to Autho87 website, click on their index page and scroll down to "your models".....it's French but you can google translate it, they have a lot of agricultural models, including livestock trucks and a fantastic selection of semi tractors and trailers with a huge emphasis on Cranes and Heavy Haulers.

Looking good Lee. Very “old school” model building, but effective nonetheless. Not a company I’ve ever seen blogged that I recall either.Comment

Thanks for the complement Tim. These little kits are very nice and go together fairly well and easy. Back in the day these sold for well over $25.00 now some are less than $10.00.Comment

Yes it’s a 1/87 I’ve found a few uncertain about buying one just yet. While I was going through numerous 1/87 scale parts boxes I found something you might like. Tomorrow when I’m in the garage I’ll get it and send you some pics of it if you want it I’ll mail it to you.Comment

Well it been a year since I’ve touched this one so today while trying to get some mojo going I put it back on the bench and some more work to it like adding side steps that go into the livestock body added the Mirrors, Headlights, and done some work to the rear gate by adding some side rails. I still have some more little stuff to do then it’s done.Comment
