It's an Enfield 350 classic Chris. 350 single fuel injection, 60HP and as much fun as you could need. Love it.
    I want a Gunmetal one!
Was this the reason for your sudden trip to the Isle of Mann. (still no speed limit there?) Andy.

That looks amazing Andy. If its going to be grey, do it used but not abused.

Just to make it clear, the bike is an all new model from Royal Enfield not to be confused with the long standing Classic 350 and 500cc machines. They advertise it as the 350 Classic reborn, it has a 20.1BHP engine complete with balancer shaft for smooth running and a top speed somewhere around the 75 MPH mark, just the job for country roads. I bought this brand new in August for the princely sum of £4439, great value for money in my opinion.

        Andy.

Definitely has that 60s/70s look. A beauty. Dozer looks good too.

I laid this thing aside for a while as it was starting to bug me but now it's in primer........at last!

Only thing left to attach is the lights but the fixings are so fragile I will put them on after painting as the draft from a passing fly will probably blow them off.

Probably, but not too abused (I hope).

Looks superb andy , i see what you mean about delicate bits , some very fine mouldings there. Did they ever make these with a bonnet covering the engine ? Seems like asking for trouble leaving all the motor exposed like that . Mind you it makes for a more interesting model !

Never seen a picture of one with a bonnet although there are a few with a full length wriggly tin roof fitted, probably an aftermarket fit rather than a manufacturers product. Sorry for using the wriggly tin description but I can't spell corrugated!

Moving along at a snail's pace with this thing. Mixed up some paint today, it's grey with a tinge of blue which is as near as my limited skills can get to pictures of the real thing I have seen. Does not show too well in the picture but I think it will do for me, now to decide on leaving it mint just painting the levers, seat, etc or giving it a right doing with muck and a bit of rust.

Looks great with a coat of paint. Really shows how intricate it is and how well put together.

Doing my head in is this, just can not seem to get the effect I am looking for.

I will have to darken that exhaust manifold and perhaps throw another mucky wash at it and call it done.
