Wo Hey! Just look at this.Terrific model Patrick....A simple build, yet bursting with action.
I remember a long while back you posting about not having the confidence to tackle dioramas....I see with this and your other recent bases, that statement is right out of the window!
Top marks.
Thank you Ron! it's all the great dios here that's providing me with the inspiration to try the same myself!
That's really great Patrick, love the suspension drop on the fronts, was that tricky to do?Cheers, Neil
Many thanks Neil! The suspension mods were quite easy - for the dropped fronts I drilled out holes in the top of the spring assembly & added bits of sprue, just like the real thing
Nice model Patrick.Any chance of some more pictures to show the detail. Just like to see what you have been up to.
Also how you went about the paint scheme especially the effects.
Laurie
Thank you Laurie! Unfortunately I've given the model to a friend who's both a rally nut & a Focus owner! So more pictures would be hard to get - I didn't expect this level of interest in truth so I didn't take as many as usual.
The paint effects were all done with my
AB, using Tamiya acrylics. All I did was
hit it with progressively lighter shades until I reached the end & used Buff XF-57 all over (my colour of choice for dust)
Great job Patrick , its as if the camera shutter has just clicked , freezing the frantic action . The driver and navigator are in for a proper filling loosener when it lands !!! Top work , cheers tony
