Had a change from model ships/boats and bought this Airfix VW Beetle. Not the best of builds, but it was my first attempt at a car model. Really enjoyed the build, the small parts needed some flash removal but the bodywork was excellent. Bought the kit as my first car was a 1955 black VW Beetle with a small oval rear window, and this was the reason for the model's colour.
As it's a handy sized model, it looks ok displayed on the windowsill amongst my wife's ornaments.
