It is a 'hot' product and they recommend a light dusting over decals to seal them followed by a slightly heavier coat after a few minutes and then a wet coat which gives the shine. This is the nervy bit as the second coat may be orange peel looking, it is that wet coat that 'melts' the previous coat and gives the great finish.

It may have been beginners luck but, although not perfect, I am really happy with what I ended up with. I have never achieved a finish like this with anything else.
    A beautiful build. Great finish.

I can't bring myself to use 2k, it's far too dangerous. If you breath in the mist once, your lungs are toast. Life long lasting effects. The results are of course far better than 1k and you don't need to sand if you get it right but the thought of 2k mist going through the extractor and into the garden or getting past my mask just puts me right off.

If you want a showroom shine You need to gear up to use 2k which is very dangerous paint or go 1k clear and add a fair few coats. In either case you need to achieve a spray pattern that is wide enough that you don't get overspray misting up your previous coats, it all has to go on nice and wet and even.

After that you may need to wet and dry the clear paint with micromesh and polish to a shine. Looks great when done though.
