    1/8 E Type Jaguar

    Hello there.

I'm a newbie here so I'm posting a few pics of a build I did some time ago.

    It's the Revell 1/8 E Type Jaguar.

    I have to admit to being a Jaguar fanatic and I'm currently scratch-building a 1/8 C Type.

The E Type is a Bob Tullius 'might have been' as he never raced a coupe.

Lots of extra engine detailing and it was a fun build.

    Roy.

Wow, that's beautiful. Did you make the decals yourself?

Hi Roy I know you from somewhere else, great build there as always my missus likes the teddy with the heart, I hadn't noticed too busy looking at the detail in the engine. Amazing work there I dream of producing work of your quality, thanks for showing us.

Many thanks for all the kind comments.

Re: the decals, yes I designed and printed them all myself, including the ones in the engine bay.

Unfortunately, I do have a bit of a passion for the 'big stuff' - at present, 1/12 scale seems fairly small to me! ( I have about a dozen in the stash, and 9 already built)

I have 5 x 1/8 scale cars built, a 'scratch' 1/8 C Type Jaguar in the works, and a further 5 x 1/8 scale models in my stash.

                      Also in planning is a 1/8 D Type and a 1/8 Aston DBR1.......

                      I must be nuts!

That lot should keep me busy for a while at least.

                      Roy.

Hi Roy, it might be me but is the numbers 44 on the back the wrong way round ?

                          Absolutely correct.

It came about years ago when the numbers were put on in a hurry before a race.

If you look, the 4's aren't backwards - they are flipped onto their sides.

Ever since then, he has always raced with the rear numbers like it.

Even the 'Group 44' logo is like it on publications, his website etc....

                          Roy.
