    Lotus Europa

    finished at last

    Lotus Europa, Tamiya 1/24

    and one for scale

just looked up the reg number

HNG669L was originally black, first registered 1st September 1972 with a 1558cc engine in Norfolk which is of course where the factory is

theres no vehicle of this registration showing up as taxed or insured.....wonder what happened to it

    Magnificent paintwork.

Looks spot on and this blue colour gives a nicely "retro touch" at the model

    Cheers

Excellent build! I agree with Polux, the blue is just right for the era. Very neat paintwork & lovely details.

        Cheers

Nice job Paul, very clean. I like the painted wheel inserts, they must've taken a while!

actually, no.............i was completely foxed on how to do them and was getting ready to just strip the chrome and respray an alloy colour. id mentioned this somewhere else and someone suggested i just splodge on some matt black acrylic then use a cotton bud to wipe off round the rim and the high edges of the 'spokes',.....worked a treat and only took a minute or two for each wheel

I had one of these about 35 years ago.....

Mine was the original JPS colours with oatmeal trim. Gorgeous car. Wish I still had it.

                  Lovely result BTW.....
