What sort of idiot would cross a Mk2 Ford Transit with a Porsche 934 RSR?
I'll give you one guess...
I'm not sure what gave me the original idea, although there has been a Mk1 and Mk2 'Supervans" built, and now, I believe an even quicker one recently, and I used to work on these when they were new as an apprentice, so I have a soft spot for them anyway.
I used an Italeri police Transit kit and the Revell Jagermiester 934.
The chassis was the most challenging bit , as the track and wheelbase of both vehicles is vastly different, so it took some imaginative cutting and shutting to get it to sit right (I kept the underside very simple, so I won't post a photo of it)
I'm thinking to perhaps try the same theme using a Revell type 1 VW van and the Italeri 'Baby"porsche 935....
It would have been an great racing series!?
anyway, it was a bit of light relief.
