    Heller 1/24 scale Scania 141

Still a classic but a bit more modern than the last one I posted.

The red is looking a bit funky in the pictures but trust me it is RED.

You can just make out the positioning mark for the side lights. One of which vanished across the room. I might address the problem if/when I get the windscreen... Nah yes about that...

And Yes that is the windscreen laying there in two halves and with a crack in. I have requested a new one from Heller, I stuck it in with Glue'n'glaze. and it pulled free removing the masking. Trying to lift it a little to put more glue in and it snapped. Bugger.

The build was fun. The fit was funnier. The usual inner outer for the cab. the rear windows being sandwiched between the two parts. The Inner part was, erm ... . . squashed and needed some R&R in a warm bath and a clamp.
The not to flattering paint job is all Humbrol Enamels except the satin black which is Tamiya. Og and the tyres are soft rubber in two halves. Stupid idea-
    Hope you like.

The screen looks fairly flat and square Ian, could a replacement be fashioned from Lexan or similar?

It is reasonably flat Bob but there is a curve at the ends. Not impossible. If Heller cant/won't help I will have to have a go.

Turned out nice Ian.My brother used to drive the real things.I remember him buying one of the earlier Heller boxings with the truck in P and O colours.I remember him saying the fit drove him mad.He wanted me to convert another Scania into the Centurion version which he owned before. He used to restore classic lorries for a living and military vechiles.Sadly after an accident he is wheelchair now and paralysed.
I will show him your build.

              I really hate rubber/vinyl tyres!
