    1/12 Moto Guzzi Centauro (Tamiya)

Finally managed to finish this. It was a nice fairly easy build that went together well. A little bit fiddly getting the engine in it place but eventually got there. I decided against blueing the exhausts as when I tried my various stains on a bit of scrap chrome it just formed little bubbles on the surface, even after I washed it several times. I had no trouble doing it on a bit of Revell chrome so have to assume its a Tamiya thing. Also for some reason the rear covering of the seat would not lay down snugly at the rear no matter what I did, it is possible it is a little bit warped. You will notice that in a couple of the photo's one rear indicator and the instrument panel is missing, this is because it fell of a wall while I was trying to be clever and get some photo's outside.

Thanks for the nice comments. This is my first time using all acrylic paint. The engine colour according to tamiya is supposed to be gunmetal but it looked very dark, so I used aluminium with just a spot of black then when it was dry, I drybrushed it with chrome silver to give it a sort of a shine.

Really love the final four shots (On a wall?)

They make it look like a real bike that someone has taken pictures of in order to put on E-Bay.

The colour is a volvo colour, Flamenco red, I had a tin of touch up spray laying around and thought it would go well. After spraying I used a little tube of car touch up clearcoat to give it a bit of gloss.
