Hi guys
This is my Ducati 1199, a 1/12 kit from Tamiya. I wasn't a fan of the out of the box 'Tricolore' livery so I custom painted a Superleggera colour scheme with Italian red and pearl white (although the pearl bits want obvious). This kit was very well-designed, Highly detailed, typical Tamiya quality. I had no issues with misalignment except that the gap between the front cowl and the side panels were a bit wide. A quick search on YouTube proved that this was a common problem to this kit.
This was the first time I tried burnt titanium colours on a bike exhaust. Quite happy with this result. Some small modifications include: Metal fork set by Tamiya, working chain set and photoetch brake discs by Top Studio, black hoses for electronic suspension (a must-have option as a high spec). As a final touch, I printed a private plate decal for it~
Hope you enjoy the photos!
