    Honda CB900F & Monkey 125 1/12

    Hi guys!

This time I'm sharing my CB900F and Monkey 125 in 1/12. I was surprised how simple these two kits were. Well, even the packaging are smaller than most Tamiya bikes. It took me two days to complete each bike from the beginning.

    CB900F
This was a relatively old kit and the chrome parts, although very shiny, had terrible seam lines. I washed them off with bleach, cleaned the seams and repainted in chrome paint. I gave this bike a 'full titanium exhaust' as you can see the different shades on the pipes. For the fuel tank and tail cowl I used Duraluminium colour from AK metal series, turned out not bad. I was never a fan of the factory mirrors with long arms, so I drilled a hole and fit the mirrors to the bar end.

    Monkey 125
In the past, I personally had this bike for a while. Building this kit certainly reminded me of the fun I had with it filtering through traffic like a monkey. I chose Tamiya German grey as the main colour to make it a bit more stealthy.... I painted the forks gold and the wheels titanium. The chrome parts (exhaust cover, front fender, etc.) were good enough for me as they came so I used them straight on the model. Again, factory mirrors were turned into bar-end mirrors.

Both bikes were fast and fun projects, hope you enjoy them!
