New to this forum so hope I'm following the rules.

Found my husbands half built Tamiya Racing Buggy Rough Rider in his parents garage. It is in its original box and looks like his dad started to build it but gave up.

I am confident that all the parts are there and would love for it to end up with someone that it could be unbuild and rebuild it in full.

I have no idea where to start in terms of looking for buyers or if I'd be better to strip it back and build it myself and sell it.

Any advice greatly appreciated

Wow I used to have one of those many many moons ago, Ebay may be your best bet if you want to sell it.

I would recommend ebay too. If youre not too concerned about what you get for it then start it as a 99p listing and put it up for at least 7 days. Little tip, make sure the listing ends on a saturday or sunday evening when most people will not be at work.

What a lovely kit Fiona. Agree with the chaps, Ebay is your best bet if you want shut.

Price range: These go for around £50 upwards depending on condition. There are some with silly prices £300 to around a £1000! These are still sat there as although it is a wonderful vintage kit people are not going to pay that kind of money.

Think what you would like to do, if it is something that you or husband would like to build then take it on and have some fun, bear in mind that the electronics maybe be shot by this time. If not and you just want a few quid then get it slapped on Eaby.

I've sold a lot of 1/24 and 1/25 kits recently (35+) running out of space to display them when built. My youngest son (40+) suggested the Bay and I was very surprised just how easy it is. I put my car and plane kits for 10 days to start with and if not sold re-listed them for another 5,7 or 10 days but as said earlier, get the finish date at a weekend if you can for a better chance to sell. Pay by PayPal is so easy as well as they advise you once they have sold with the buyers address, which I copy to a Word page and print off my own labels ina size that relates to the box I'm sending. Anyway good luck!
