After a long time away from the bench.................what next?

Going on for 7 weeks since I was at the bench, due to health reasons. I'm feeling a bit better, and actually have the urge to make something again!
I''m going to box the things on the bench, clear the decks and start with a totally unstarted model. I've been looking in the stash, and it has taken me a day or so to narrow it down to 2 models, both Le Mans cars! I cant decide which to do, so I'll throw it open to the members. I've been looking in the boxes, and I feel an equal urge to build them!!!!!

The Nissan dates from 2014, the Ford GT from 2018.
I'd appreciate your input & if anyone has made either of these models, your comments would be welcomed.
I'm planning to make a start later this week, or the weekend.

Good to see you back at the bench….
The Ford looks the more challenging Dave. Decal and paint strip on the windscreen, for example…..it’s got the more interesting paint scheme as well, so it gets my vote.

The Ford has a load of window decals, and this is the first model I've had from Revell that has pre-painted window frames, that will save a lot of grief! The Tamiya has self adhesive pre-printed masks ( not pre-cut! ) for the frames

Definitely the nissan for me, first build for a while the tamiya may be easier, revell can be a bit hit and miss at times.

            Mark,
the earlier Revell car kits are patchy, but the later ones are good - not as easy to assemble, and perhaps the detail may be a bit softer than Tamiya, but worth the effort................

Great to hear you're feeling up to building again.
Nissan gets my vote purely because I like the look of it.

Great to hear you are back at the bench Dave. As neither of them have tracks then it's your choice my friend. Happy modelling

Ford for me. I'm not really a car person in real life and have certainly never made a model car but the Ford looks like an interesting challenge.

And glad to have you back at the bench.

                      Hi Dave
I’m going to buck the trend and go for the Nissan. The important thing though is that the urge to build is back. And long may it continue.
Actually, I don’t really have a preference just good to hear you’re back back to yhe bench again

Nissan all day long for me dave , ive driven one of these at loads of different tracks back in the day (me and Sam on Gran Turismo 2 ) , the ford still looks very tasty but the R390 wins it for me

I once sat in a real GT40 in the 1960s! It was on display at a dealer local to me.
