where to get these detailing materials??

if you watch this video (or the entire series) of japanese super modellers you'll see them using coloured vinyl tubes for clutch lines etc, and even tiny ally pipes..have a look at some of the stunning detail on these builds..

where can u get this stuff from?? id love to have a go at detailing rivets etc..the lenghts this builder goes to are simply beyond belief!!

        sweet! cheers Ian..

ive already been onto hiroboy..i bought some alclad, 2 part zero paints and carbon decal sheeting (although im going to give it a go with the womens' tights technique i saw on the aforementioned videos). the other site looks very interesting too.

when ive got a bit more experience (im only on build 2!!) im definately going to try and up the ante and add the finer touches. like everything in life, we are always learning and wanting more..right now, ive rediscovered a love that i thought i'd lost over 20yrs ago and am really enjoying it...caveat being the usual balls ups and frustrations of course!

        ps

does hiroboy have anything that is in stock!! virtually everything is out of stock!

I use Mediamix hobby they are based in HK but don`t let this put you off , prices are good and delivery is ok also between 5 to 7 days and they accept paypal , I`ve used them many many times and never had a problem with delivery or customs , and they have a massive range of aftermarket stuff for cars and bikes for which 99% is always in stock .

I also use Hiroboy as mentioned above but mainly for the zero paints and clearcoats , Grandprix models are an option but like Hiroboy don`t always have huge stock in but they do free delivery on everything , Bestbalsakits in Belgium are also good but expensive although they do have a lot of hard to find and stuff.

I must admit I was perturbed by the number of "out of stock" items on hero's its always one of the thing that puts me off webshops. I just look elsewhere....
