Searching pictures Bentley 4 1/2 Litre

    Hi all.

This evening a friend explain me a curious story.

Time ago, the Bentley won the 24h of le mans. We are talking about the year 1928. This friend tell me too, that vehicle was 'captured' for the soldiers and become a 'military' one, painted in sand colour with all kind of complements.

I'm searching some pics or info on the net...and nothing!!!

    Anyone know that is true...?

Maybe know some place to find this photos...?

    Regards. Polux.

    Thanks

The 4.5ltr was superceeded by the mark 5 in 1939 and this model was used as a staff car, there's images available on that.

I suppose older models could have been used by the military and kitted out with military equipment, cant find any reference after a quick search though.

              Hi Polux,

Are you sure your friend hasn't got the Bentley confused with the WW1 Rolls Royce Armoured car...

              Andy...

                I think it's not possible....

He works on a specialised die-cast CARS models shop... only sell cars, he knows all them

                Thanks for your help Andy.

He said me, know a person who see it, so will ask him where to find the pictures!!

I searched on Google, nothing new found except that the Le Mans winner you talk of is preserved, no mention of it ever having been in the hands of the military at any stage of its life.
