    Ron's Miniart Factory Ruin

Well, Sure, it's absolutely cheating, but this has been in my stash a long time and I really like the subject. And at my present skill level, I cant beat it. So, here's about four nights work so far.
I know that the sand granules look grossly huge in the photos, but to me looking from a foot away in person, it actually looks fine and I'm very satisfied at this point.

As well you should be Ron, That looks awesome......and I don't find the size of the granules at all objectionable. Give us a little background on what your plans are for this little masterpiece, kind Sir.

Hey Rick, Thank You. At first I was hoping for a quick-build of this to provide a setting for my WOT Katyusha. Then I realized that the vac-formed buildings aren't necessarily so quick to build. I'm thoroughly enjoying the challenge, it's really fun. Now I'm thinking a KO'ed Panzer III with this rather than the Katyusha. Ah, decisions, decisions ......

Its 10" x 15.5" Rick. I could cut another base maybe just a couple of inches longer, but that would be it as far as space available in my display case. And I dont want the premise to be silly as far as an AFV passing so close to a building, they'd deserve to get KO'ed. I almost think maybe just use a Kettenkrad instead, a small vehicle wouldn't compete so.much with the factory building. By the time stairs are added and possibly an overhead industrial steam pipe are added, could look jumbled, quickly

              Hi Ron
Looks good to me. With a bit of care these MiniArt buildings can look really nice - as in this case :thumb2:

Thanks Jim, yep I am pleasantly surprised, would recommend them to others for sure. Miniart has such a cool line of subjects in their catalog but sadly I'm wary of the complexity of their vehicle kits, I dont always have the patience level required

Factory ruin looking good Ron, I'm equally impressed by your paint rack.
I have two sets given free and haven't made them yet. The ones I have seem to be 1/32nd in scale with doors looking eight feet high. But I have seen them done by Kazuya Yoshioka and they look real good.

                  Cheers,
                  Richard

                    Ron,
when I read the title I thought, wow, does Ron hate MiniArt as well? - you'd better engage Mr Race as fire damage consultant. :tongue-out:
That dio is off to a fabulous start - I'll follow this with interest!

Most impressive, agree with Rick on the sand Ron. :thumb2: The variation on the surface is quite stunning.
Front row and long as the sand hurling has finished, no matches on me so your building is quite safe

Richard, how right you are. Darn. I had noticed that, but with this being a big industrial structure and my not planning on having figures (well maybe one, ground level, out and away), this wont be an issue. This time. Hmm. See pic
