1/16 SCRATCH MADE ALL METAL BRAZIER

Something to keep my lickle soldiers warm when we have our open days.

Built over a week and is a major contributor to severe hand pain.

It is made from various bits/spares and is all metal apart from the battery tealight.

And seen as I haven't done any heavy weathering for a while...yep, rusted!

Great work Si. Good to see scratch building. Easy, relatively, to paste together a plastic kit.
But lots of thought & imagination needed for scratch stuff. The brain is working all the time.

Plus on completion a satisfaction which exceeds kit built stuff.

Lovely job Si. Pity about the hand pain though, hope it gets better quickly.

Thanks Laurie, when scratch work goes right, it is very satisfying-although, I must confess that for every one that goes right, there have several that have failed.

Hi Rick, many thanks. The tealight was a 'if it works it works' sort of thing and it worked really well. I think it ties the piece together.

Cheers Chris, working with plasticard and wood is one thing but messing about with stainless steel, aluminum and then trying to get the cuts right and, for it to fit together is something else. I am glad it came okay in the end.

Ta much Tim, pleased you like it. Working on a old plasticard barge that will be a static piece for the 1/16 canal pieces, hopefully, that will not be as hard on my hands.

Thanks Jim, looks rather good with the flickering light, better than I hoped.
