Union Cavalry Charge. American Civil War. Chancellorsville -1863

As folks are posting old stuff, I thought I'd join in. Sorry to those who've seen the build before......but at least the pictures are new and sunny like!

I didn't want the group just charging along, so I came up with the idea of them being surprised by a ditch cum picket line, then being met by a volley of grape shot.......If anyone is wondering about the bloke on the left, he's been hit in the face by summat or other. Not slashing at an imaginary enemy.

Masterbox 1/35 figures and horses suitably chopped up and re-posed. The cotton bales are pieces of polystyrene wrapped with thread, and cocktail sticks for the picket line thingies.

Looks like you've taken over the reins from Shep Paine.Great little scene and,as usual, the photography brings it to life.

I remember this one as well. I was mightily impressed first time I saw it and it still looks just as good second time around!
