                Incredibly thought provoking - my g.grandfather was one of those who had to go out into no-mans land after a cavalry charge to 'collect' etc. the horses

                      A grim story well portrayed. Reminded me of the film "war horse" which is well worth a watch if you've not seen yet.
                      My farther almost got put on a charge he was told to shoot a horse to bring down a messenger. He shot the messenger .... I digress.
