TALOS - homage to Ray Harryhousen

A little while ago I posted on the 'latest aquisition' thread some 1/300th scale figures, here is how I used them - my homage to the great Ray Harryhousen by recreating a scene from the film Jason and the Argonauts:

the 75mm figure of talos is a 3D printed figure i found on ebay. Painting it was a nice challenge, in the end I gave it a base coart of Vallejo Brass, then added vallejo Bronze and added highlights and shading using the Andrea set of paint to paint Gold.

    Now its back to 45mm!

Brings back memories and reminds me of easier times when there was no CGI and we relied on very talented folks to create our fantasy worlds. Well done on a most excellent tribute to the Great Harryhausen. :thumb2:

I remember the film. That is a great tribute and a great model.

Brings back great memories of watching the film for the first time as a nipper. Fair play, nice one.
