Completed..... 'Huff' Hfuhruhurr's Ju 88 lost in the Libyan Desert in 1941. Found again 1977.

In June 1941, whilst bombing the British Garrison of Tobruk in N. Africa, 'Huff's Ju88 was hit by AA fire.
His port engine was badly damaged. He managed to get his crippled aircraft back into friendly territory where he crashed landed miles from his base.
The crew were all rescued and anything salvageable was removed from the wrecked aircraft. This included the starboard engine and weaponry.

The wreck was left abandoned and forgotten for over 30 years, until a group of adventurers stumbled across the 88's remains in 1977.

Brilliant work Ron, very believable. Well done mate.

Excellent, Ron. In all respects. From initial idea, through build/finishing to photography.

Excellent. Very believable photos. So glad that Huff and his crew were rescued. I do like a happy ending.

            Thanks chaps. :thumb2:
I'm chuffed you like the end result.

As I wrote at the start of the build, it's one awful kit and deserved to end up where it did!
However, once I decided on its fate, I certainly enjoyed attempting the conversion and there was no way I was going to 'Bin it', as sometimes happens to kits here on Scale Models.

Thanks again for all your input.

            Ron
