            Just noticed another thing that I like—the edge of the base is not wood (which I sometimes think is un-natural in a dio) but being curved in both plan view and edge-on, it just disappears without a fuss, so to speak. Must think about that if (when) I do a dio.

                    I have used for the base a large piece of glass with round edges. I felt likeit was just designed for my diorama!
